Converter?
Well, to start off, I bought my car from my brother who had blew the engine. He threw a rod, and the piston went through the bottom of the block.
With that said, I bought it from him, and I put a new engine into it, and ect. When he I talked to him, he said something about a check engine light and his catalytic converter. Would the catalytic converter make the check engine light go on, and what should I do next? thanks! |
RE: Converter?
you can just replace the cat. or you might need a new O2 sensor that is placed at the bottom of the exhaust manifold and just before the cat. either way, its not going to be tooo expensive.

RE: Converter?
Anyway to find out which i'll need?
Cept for actually takinga look at it.. |
RE: Converter?
u should be able to go to something like an advance auto and they can check the code to see which it is.

RE: Converter?
You can just check the code yourself. Just search. Anyhow, the cat could be causing you to throw a code because of a messed up air fuel ratio. See what the code is first and then come back here
