Default cylinder hear

i have a 97 civic dx which i had a spark plug blow out of the motor i tapped it put a heli coil in but it still leaks air which you can hear every time that cylinder fires it still runs but is suffering from a serious loss of power and not to mention it runs like crap. i want to replace the head but somone told me if i got a used one i would have to take it to a machine shop and have it machined where it seals to the motor to insure a proper seal is this guy full of crap or what?

i would get it done cuz if you get a uased one it might be a little warped or the old gasket might stick to it

probably will have to take the head off, weld the hole and retap it, might work but might have to get a new cylinder head
