d series questions
does anyone know what size overbore pistons honda makes?
i might be getting a d15b2 block and need to know what sive overbores honda makes so i can get the block bored to the right size. most likely going to use pm3 pistons, or maybe p29's |
RE: d series questions
.0020, .0030, .0040 are the sizes ive seen. as far as p29's/pg6b's/pm7's go you might wanna double check compression height between the the 1.6 pistons and the 1.5 pistons. from my understading the only way too make this work is to use the vx crank and rods but the pistons will stick out the block some. nothing a good thick headgasket cant help though. and p29's on stock b2 rods will have the pistons sitting fairly low in the cylinder.

RE: d series questions
i used a compression calculator and the stock pm3 ended up at like 10.5? and the p29 were like 10.8

RE: d series questions
compression height.......distance between the wrist pin and piston top excld dome or dish though. what head are you using to get those compression #s? i ask because factory b2 is 9.1:1

RE: d series questions
i know comp height, i am gonna rebuild the b2 bottom and use the head off my z6 engine to have a mini me.

RE: d series questions
fun fun.........good luck with the build....ive enjoyed my mini-me's but ive gone back to big cam non vtec set ups.
|
RE: d series questions
i was thinking about non vtec with webers but don't have a head
|
RE: d series questions
ive been wanting to do the same for some time now.........but i no longer own my old carb stuff......but then again i beleive dual 48's would drown my set up anyways. ive got a few non vtec heads but im sure shipping out that way would suck ass.

RE: d series questions
i was thinking some smaller delorto sidedrafts on a custom manifold built by crazy lenny (a local fabricator with crazy mad skills) a honda with carbs would sound awesome
