D15 in an 88?

Can you swap a stock 1.5L 88 civic hatch engine with a D15?

Stock '88 Civic hatch IS a D15... unless you've got the 3bbl carb.

Depends on how much you want to spend (he said D16, not B16). Forget a D16A6 though; for the ease, power, and quality of results, do a DOHC ZC.

or unless its an si ;) as far as the forget the 1.5 comment, all the 1.5 is, is a destroked 1.6 with a lighter cam profile and lighter valve springs. in most cases, a 1.5 with a single came 1.6 vtec head will net you better results than just dropping in a non vtec 1.6. but like kappa said the dohc zc will net better power than both spoken of.
