i have blown 3 head gaskets in the past 1 year... i have a d15b7 with d16zc head that is port/polished... the last gasket i put in it was a multi layerd steel...wtf should i do!!!

check to make sure the block and head are level where they meet each other. if not, get your head and block resurfaced and try again

also, you need to be using new head studs everytime you take them off. Get some ARP head studs, they're reusable.

Make sure you are torquing properly too. I think it's 21ft-lbs first, and then 58ft-lbs, or something similar. There is also an order to torquing them.

10-4-2-5-7

that may not be the exact order by the book, but it should work. you start with the two center studs and then go outwards, criss crossing each time.

i have put new head bolts in every time and napa made sure the head was strait... and i got the torque specs from them also.. i would asume they would know... i put a strait edge on the block and eveything is good the motor has never over heated...my fuel rail got pushed off one of the injectors today too... it was bolted down but it still popped up... gas went everywhere... i think im wasting ym time with this motor

i would have had a copper one this last time but no parts stores around here know what the hell that is... south dakota isnt a good place for honda's. you have any ideas on ur crx of wuts wrong?

NAPA does machine work now? Personally, I'd never trust a place like NAPA to be able to accurately tell me if a head is straight or not (same goes for Advance Auto and Autozone). Take that head to a machine shop where they can actually tell you if it's straight or not; I forget the exact number, but I believe maximum allowable tolerance of head imperfections is somewhere in the .006" range (yeah, that's really freakin' tiny); any more than that and it needs straightened.

im not gunna waste any more time on this motor... i think i can find a d16z6 to bolt to my tranny and it shouldnt be that much... plus all my performance parts that i have should work on it also... u kno where i could get a d16?

check craigslist; it's probably your best bet. If not, call up some junkyards and see if you can't find a running one.
