Default d15 swapping to a b16

I've got a '93 del sol, and i'll be swapping out the d15 i currently have in, with a turbo'd b16.

What can i keep, what needs to be replaced?

Basically, for my swap, what do i need other than the block+head..?

Ummmmm.... almost anything and everything would need to be swapped out excluding stuff like the coolant reservoir, brake lines, power steering set-up, etc etc (little things). Almost all the essential parts of a motor would need to be swapped to b series.

You would need the ecu (tunable if you are boosting), longblock, trans, IM (complete with injectors [bigger aftermarket ones if you are going turbo] etc), most likely the stock b16 TB, turbo mani, turbo, piping, oil lines, gauges, and a bunch of other things. We have a sticky in the FI section that spells out everything you need for a turbo kit. You're looking at about $3000 for the swap to be running in your del sol, then at least another $2000 on a decent turbo set-up, then at least another $750 for a tunable ecu and a tune (unless you know how to do it yourself).

No prob. I am eventually hoping to swap a b18c1 motor in my car... but that's not until the d series dies and I am more financially stable.

Actually, i had another question.. when you said "trans" do you mean transmission? I thought i could use same transmission... It's manual, and i got it off of a 94 ex civic... my buddy did the swap.

Ah, and i meant just to swap from my d15 to the b16... i'll get a turbo kit (prob the greddy one, so comes w/ manifold, BOV, the bigger injectors and all that good stuff.)

I mean just strictly to swap the engine, cause i see pieces for sale for like 300 for head, or 250 for the block... but was wondering what else would be needed, because there's a guy on this forum selling engines, but they are like 1000 or more.

You cannot use a D series trans on a B series motor. It would have to be a B series trans. unless you got a B2D conversion kit (if they make that), but IMO, that's not worth the money.

Those (head and bottom) are just two big pieces needed for the swap. You would need mounts, ecu, trans. etc. Also, $300 for a b16 head... what does that include? $250 for the block... what does that include?... or not include for that matter?
