D15B question
hey guys, kind of a noobish question here but i recently bought a d15b from japan for my 95 LX sedan, and i was wondering, how do i know that the vtec is still working when it hits 5200 rpm? i know a valve is supposed to open but how do i know that when driving?

i would think if the vtec isnt working you would get a CEL. and true it does come on at 5000 rpm with stock ecu.

You should feel/hear it

to see if it's working, hook a multimeter up to the ECU. ground the black probe, and stick the positive probe in pin A4 on the ECU.
Then go drive When VTEC engages, your multimeter should read ~12V For an ECU pinout that tells you what pin A4 is, look at the stick in the ECU section. |
