so my timing jumped and im asuming the valve hitt he pistons and i have a few bent valves... first question is with he head off how do i check each valve to see if they are bent or not.... how easy is it to take the valve out and put new ones in and what else need to come aprt on the head to do this? any tips would be very helpfull..

You could also just compression test the cylinders. This way you don't have to take the head off to know whether there is engine damage.

i did the compression test and 3 of the 4 cyliders didnt hold...the head is already off....

You should see that valves for the bad cylinders are bent and can't properly seat. There may also be damage to the tops of the pistons.

the pistons look fine they just look really burnt..

If only the valves are damaged, consider just buying a replacement head.

a re-man head is 200$ more then all new valves and seals plus shop fees...

i found a whole new used head in minnesota that all it needs is to be resurfaced............only 75$ for it...... when i go to put this back together i make sure the head is at TDC and i can put the crank at TDC with the head being off right?
