Default d15b7 buildup

i have a 93 civic lx with a d15b7/5 speed tranny. What i want to do is swap head to 1.6 vtec and rebuild entire motor with new cam and run boost and maybe sum nos. right now i have the turbo kit and engine rebuild kit. So my question is what head do i need to get for swap, forged or regular pistons, and what kind of cam should i put in.

Someone said it on here before; It'g going to be hard to run boost and nitrous together. Maybe if you get a good tune, I'm not sure.

some a1 pistons will put you at a sweet 12:1 compression ratio.

Think you got the wrong thread there. He's turbocharging, and A1 pistsons in a D15 yield a static compression ratio of about 10.5:1 (D16 = 12:1).

For just the a turbo set up OEM cast pistons/rods will get you to about 200-250whp safely. Above that you'll need forged both. I'm not a fan of nitrous so I wouldn't know what to tell you about that. For the head, the D16Z6 is easiest to use and it works well. For the cam maybe contact Akmee.

idk about on a d15 but on a d16y8 you can run 7-8 psi safely no more than that though. and i have never seen it but someone was talking about spraying the nitrous straight into the turbo idk if you can do that or not though. if you boost i wouldnt spray

Yeah....I was told by many on here, that b7 rods can maybe handle 5lbs. The other option is to have them shotpeened.

mmm you're right...damn i used to know a sweet setup that you could use with a b7 block/head with another set ofp istions that would yield a 12:1 compression ratio...but i cant remember it now. i coulda swore it was the a1's...
