No, viataras yield very low compression. Like, 7~:1 without milling the head or decking the block in a D15B7.
Compression in these motors really depends on what head you use. But, the highest compression set up in a B7 without decking the block, and without milling the head is done by using a D16Y8 head, and JDM ZC/D16A1 pistons. It's a bit over 11:1 (I've played with compression calculators way too much.) With adequate deck blocking, head milling, and/or a thin headgasket, crazy unnecessary compression can be made with these pistons. 13+:1 up to 15+:1 with the right D combination. |
