Ok i have both the d16y5 and the d16y8 full motors. They are both needing to be redone but what i want to know is what one is going to be the better motor for my 1995 honda dx. I mean anything and everything to the internals of the motor will be done before it goes in i just need some advice on which motor to choose from to put in.

 

D16Y8.....the D16Y5 is the HX 3 stage econo vtec engine. It only runs on 8 valves when under 2200rpm and there are no upgrades for the head. Also the D16Y8 has alot better transmission.
