D16Y7 question
 

Okay,
Before i decide to swap out the engine and tranny for Say a b series engine how much HP could i push out of a d16y7? Im thinking a b16b swap (i'll convert the carfrom auto to manual either way) but i was just curious to see how much people have gotten out of them and how they did it. Thanks

I'll be the first one to say that a y7 would gain a little simply by doing a mini-me swap (swapping out the non vtec head that you have to a y8 head which has the vtec). From what I understand the b series have more potential for build, not to say that d's can't rock. However building engines is not my area of expertise so I'll let someone else cover the details

it all depends on how much you want to spend, you can stay n/a or go boosted with a s/c or t/c
