Default D16Y8 to 1997 LX

Hey, I have a 1997 Civic LX with the stock D16Y7 and auto tranny. I'm wanting to make this car faster and maybe get into the 200 HP range. Would swapping a D16Y8 with a manual tranny be possible and would that be able to get to that power range? Or should I just try and upgrade my D16Y7 even though its an automatic?

manual conversion + mini-me swap ftw. Just search here on HCF for either of those topics and you'll have most your questions answered.

200 hp would be obtained easiest through a turbo setup as well. 200 hp should be safe with stock internals too as long as you have a good tune and do a compreesion test to see what kind of shape the engine is in.

I've been looking around, and I found a 1995 DX for pretty cheap. I'm thinking of getting that and then swapping in a ZC motor (manual). This is a fairly easy, common swap right? And I've heard plenty of good things about the engine itself, and it's pretty upgradeable right?

http://www.sunrisejdmmotors.com/engi...=18&page=2 This is the engine I'm looking at by the way. Is this the right one? Thanks

EDIT: Also, is this engine also known as the D16Z6?
