RE: D16Z6

You can tell the liters by the name of the engine. In the D16Z6, the D16 means its a d-series, and its a 1.6 liter. So all D16's would be 1.6 liters. B18's are 1.8's, and so on. Plus if you want more info, there is a sticky in this forum that you should check out.

RE: D16Z6

RE: D16Z6

One question though...Shouldn't it say Vtec on my valve cover? Because mile don't and i always thought it wasn't vtec...

RE: D16Z6

Nope it doesnt say it on the valve cover. Its a SOHC engine and most SOHC's wont say it on the valve cover. Other series like the B series that are DOHC motors have the cool valve covers that say VTEC.

RE: D16Z6

oh alright...this is a pretty stupid question but what is the difference between non-vtec and vtec?

cbaber 12-16-2006 10:41 AM

RE: D16Z6

Well since its a stupid question I will give you a stupid answer. Non-Vtec means it doesnt have vtec, and vtec means it has vtec. I would suggest doing a google search to find out what vtec is and how it works.

Alright thanks...

RE: D16Z6

So a SOHC Vtec is about the same as a DOHC non-vtec of the same displacement and it is cool how it works..i never knew that it did that.
