D16z6

Problems:

Idling up and down when cold, 500-1600 RPM
Found the post about the FITV, will do it on the weekend

Oil leak between Transmission and Engine
A tech tells me it's a rear main seal for the crankshaft, anyone out there that has a similar problem and point me the right direction?

Heater works on and off but now it doesn't
Where can I start looking for trouble shooting?

Anyone in San Diego can help me work on the engine? Free Beers of course

In addition to cleaning the FITV, also clean the IACV and bleed the cooling system.

First carefully check the distributor, the VTEC solenoid, and the valve cover and oil pan gaskets.

Check the coolant level in both the radiator and reservoir when the engine is cool.

Its pretty normal for your car to idle high around 1.6k rpms. It should drop down to 700-800 when warm tho.
