D17 Mini-me, cannot find one-HELP!

I currently have a D17A1 motor and want to swap to a D17A2 head. Does anyone have any information on where I can find one?

I would look at car-part.com for the head. You should be able to find plenty there. Good Luck!

Could try Ebay, might be able to get the whole motor for less than 500.

I checked car-part.com last night while looking for someone else. They run about $200-$500. There's about 10 available in the U.S. It'll probably cost around $40 to ship. Just call around to the places on car-part, I'm sure they get this kind of thing all the time.

Just out of curiosity, would an older (say d16z6) head fit on a D17? It'd probably make for a bit excessive compression ratio, but it should be easier and cheaper to get a z6 head.

d17 is the D series bastard, nothing but d17 head will fit.

honda chaged it up now? you can't fit a d16 head on a d17? that's odd.

Well, Thanks for answering my question. Too bad. It might make things a lot easier for D17 owners.

Honda seems to have quite a few D series bastards, what with the D16a1 and the D17 and all...

If you go about doing it, or if anyone has done it, let me know how it goes.. I am interested in doing this but as of right now I don't feel comfortable ripping apart my engine..
