way it looks cap looks ok maybe kinda newish but the rotor doesnt look like its in to good of shape... not the worth rotor ever but could be replaced...

I see corrosion of all inner contact points in the distributor cap, and the rotor contact is obviously nasty. You could either replace both or save money by sanding the contact points clean and smooth with some fine sandpaper.
|
What you see on the cap is reflection from the flash. I may sand down the corrosion.
MPG is approximately 36. I just took a trip today and went about 220 miles on half tank. I rounded the 11.8 something gallon tank to 12 and doubled the 220 to 440 and devided by 12. |

If you zoom in on one contact point inside the rotor, you can clearly see that it is also corroded and pitted (=not good).

I circled in red an area of the rotor contact area that is normal. It should look like this along the entire length of the contact area.

I'll jump on that.
I noticed too, the other day I was messing around with my EVAP Canister with the battery disconnected. I went on this trip which was just under 500 miles and my CEL has not come back on. May it be possible with my fiddling of it, it now is fixed? In previous disconnects the CEL was back on within a day or two. With this trip, it seemed to be ok. I guess my only problem is acceleration. |
