could anyone tell me how this works and if u think it does or know it does? how does it make your car more "silent"? and how do the popo (police). get you for somethen that its used to silence? sorry in the dak on this one.

uh...looks like a bunch of crap

i think the plate just closes a bit to reduce noise and opens to increce it. it would cause horrible backpressure even when i tw as wide open.

It says you can close it off completely, I wonder who would do that??? I feel bad for the poor guy/gal who thinks "If I want the exhaust as quiet as possible, I should close it completely." It seems like common sense to me, but I guess other people think its okay to trap gases into an enclosed space. And $175, thats nuts.

that would be used as an exhaust dump pipe, you could use that as a y connection an at the track open it up from no backpressure on your turbo civic, then close it off an run through a catalytic converter to pass emissions.

Even for boosted cars...it gets expensive to get them done right and just slapping one on can cause cracks up the exhaust flow...
