DIY ITB's
Me being young and stupid...what would be involved in making ITB's at home? I don't see anything too complicated, but some welding...and that I could manage...
What I'm thinking is: 1. Make a flange, 2. Get some mandrell bends and weld those to the flange 3. weld 4 TB's on the pipes. 4. fabricate linkage... |
RE: DIY ITB's
how bout you just pull 'em off a Gixxer :D
on a serious note, I have absolutely no idea |
RE: DIY ITB's
I mean I know there's an IACV (but I'm living w/o one on my other car and all I need is to hold the gas down), and TPS, and all the vaccume crap, plus MAP sensor...but I cold possibly make all that fit (not IACV...Chim has enough trouble trying to make it work...)

RE: DIY ITB's
Speaking of IACV, you'll never believe how I got mine to work...
I UNATTACHED IT FROM THE IM, left it w/out any connections, execpt the coolant bypass and the electrical, and I haven't gotten a CEL about it yet. Talk about f*cking boggling my mind... don't forget that you're gonna have to hook something up to turn the TBs at the same time, check out TODA's or TWA(?), but I can see where you are coming from, w/ a lil welding skill it shouldn't be all that awful... |
RE: DIY ITB's
linkage ought to be no problem...but adjusting them will be PITA

RE: DIY ITB's
I'm liking the idea nore and more...I might rebuild the Y7 as a N/A for now...I might bring the stacks up and out under a scoop though...and while I'm at this I might as well get higher comp pistons...
