he is putting a turbo kit on it soon just a run of the mill ebay one...with a front mount
he thinks he can pull 270 WHP off of 8lb of boost
do you think its possible? If not whats a more likely result

 

well..first things first, "just a run of the mill ebay one" ..i would be VERY carful with that. Its not somthing you really want to cheap out on

 

i told him that but he is only putting like 600 bux into it i start askign him question about it like...fuel upgrades? ecu tuning? those kinda things and he just kinda freezes up...all he says is Timmy will take care of it

timmy is his sisters boyfriend who thinks he is superior to everyone because he has a 650whp talon...all i got to say is DSM is played the F&^k out...

timmy is supposed to helkp him put the kit on and everything i want to see his face when the car doesnt run lol

 

id say that number is possible when running an actuall turbo setup that will last for more than a week...mill$ is right its not somthing you wanna go cheap on

 

poor car...the DSM guy will probably think that a stock motor can handle 15lbs on an FMU:-D

 

Awwwww, poor poor SI. It shouldn't be in the hands of a DSM guy. I think it needs a new home!!!!! My 2000 EX always wanted a sister to play with!!!! They'll get along so well!!!! I swear to wash her and wax her and shine her trim till she gleams on at least a weekly basis!!!! Heck I'll even find a nice garage for her to sleep in on cold winter nights!!!! Please for the love of god, don't let your friend do a cheapy e-gay turblow kit!!!! It'll hurt her in ways that she won't like!!!! And if he does, please for the love of god make him get a good fuel managment system, or a nice programmable ECU, and then a nice tune. She'll thank him for it!!!! If not, give her to me!!!

 

its possible but like they said dsm guy= dsm reliability. fast while they last.

 

Damn you guys are awfull judgemental about DSM people. I would say it would be tough because your looking at around 15whp per psi roughly. That is not hard to get but it will be hard to get with any crap ebay turbo and fuel management that sucks.
