Hi guys, I'm in some problem now. I'm from Singapore. My EG 4dr....seems like the gasket is a goner now. Whenever I turn on the aircon, the temp would rise to H. I once open my radiator cap to check. What I did was, with the radiator cap off the lid, I stepped on the gas....woosh! water starts gushing out like a volcano eruption. I tink it looks like gasket is gone. Mechanics in Singapore suggest that I spend abt S$4grand to swop a EK engine, or spend S$1K for a EG engine or cheaper alternative is to spend S$400 to change a new gasket. What would you guys suggest? Thanks

well, if a gasket is out you should be lossing some water. does it over-heat while driving without the a/c on?

 

If your gonna spend 4K on a motor, get a B18C1.

 

also check that the ngine has water in it theres a bolt by the head of the engine that looks like a thermostat housing but its not its a air bleed bolt and if you loosen that and then fill the radiator it will fill till all the air is out of the engine so when water leaks out the bolt air is out the tighten it back up this bolt is right infront of the head the top house of the radiator goes to itcheck that out also

 

this is crazy. I have a 95 too and im having the EXACT same problems. Im burning antifreeze and getting lots of white smoke out of my tail pipe. Its a blown head gasket and it sucks. Im probally just going to go with whole new engine
