Default Engine!!!

Well, I am now an owner of a Civic.

I had bought my brothers 1999 Honda EX Civic, in which he sold it to me because he had blown the engine or "cracked the block". So, I am now trying to find what I should do on this.

Any suggestions?

well, if it's just a cracked block, you could always just replace the bottom end. But, with bottom end damage typically comes some head damage, so maybe a full swap is in order?

WHat are your goals for the car?

Here should be the list:
1. gut it completely
2. throw that motor away
3. buy a b18c5 itr motor (preferably 98 spec)
4. get some racing slicks
5. turbo it
6. have a good ol' time

j/k

I'd recommend ebay. You can find the same motors for less there from reputable sellers. If you're just looking for a replacement motor, get a cheap D-series motor. Do you have emissions/inspections in your state?
