Default 2000 si head

i have a 1997 civic sohc. i recieved a 2000 si head. polished and ported. with a type r header and the stock dohc manifold. Can i rip off the original head and replace it with the 2000si head? the head has ctr cams and aftermarket pulleys. my other alternate is i have a b18a. but one of the pistons has a gash on top of it. should i just hold off and replace the piston and get a new tranny?(dont have one for it) i know the b18 is more power but i just wanna be sure that i do every thing the right way. please help me. thanx

Default RE: 2000 si head

SOHC and DOHC dont mix, you cant do it. But you could put it on the B18 block with an LS/VTEC set up, but it seems you need to do much more research.
