engine managment PROBLEMS.. plzz help

I brought a Honda civic 1.6 Esi Vtec, with the engine management light on, I have taken it for a diagnostic test and found out there was 2 problems, 1st problem was the temperature sensor needed to be replaced with a new 1, which I have done so, now the second problem was that the air intake flow sensor was missing as it had a induction kit on it. The problem with the car is that it idles up and down and some times the engine cuts off randomly. NOW can any 1 tell me if the problem is because of the air intake sensor, as it is missing, ALSO I was wondering if any one knows where it can be brought from cheap? Thanks

i had the idle up and down prob once,, it was the idle air control valve,,cost like 200.00 buks,, had a meck do it ,
