engine mods while engine is removed?

Im fixing up mny new honda and gettin it ready for the road theres some body work todo and suspension. One thing i gotta do is chage the clutch and i hear u must remove the engine and gear box to do so. while im doin this i plan on cleanin up the whole engine bay. Is there any modifications i should do on the engine while its out somthing that can only be done while its out or its easier that way. The engine is a d15b vtec and i was plain on gettin it port polished but any outher ideas would help. thanx

you don't have to pull the engine out! You have to lift it to take pressure off of the tranny mount, then remove the tranny and etc. Who told you you need to remove the engine!?!?

Porting the head would be a waste.

You dont need to remove the engine to do the clutch. If youve got an engine out of the bay an intake manifold will take 75% less time to install thou.

adjust the valves and change the timing belt. once is free, the other is about $50...
