RE: engine question

its the civic type r motor. its just more rare. and it also has some sweet parts in it. but mostly because its rare. its not really worth paying what most places charge, unless you want to build a type r replica.

RE: engine question

would the b18c have more low end torque than the other engine because its max rpm is only 6200?

RE: engine question

I don't think that is the max rpm, that is only the rpm where the power is greatest. It will still go a lil further.

RE: engine question

yeah, its max torque is there, not max rpm. redline is around 7800+, not sure exactly. i shift mine at about 8200 at the track, and about 76-7800 on the street.

RE: engine question

and yeah, the B18 will have a lot more torque. and it will be faster. and if you use the money you save to buy an intake manifold and some type r cams, youll put car lengths on an identical car with the B16b.
