RE: engine questions

it would work...but there are better options. H22 is heavy...but its one really badass motor and its cheaper than the B series motors.

hoenstly idk whos going to back me up here.........but if it were me i would do this. Buy a b16 and before u drop it into ur car make it bulletproof, change the timing belt and water pump. Get a stage 2 clutch and a LSD, and then boost the **** out of it. H22 is a TOUGH fit into a civic man. Turboing it aint going to make that any better either. Build the crap out of a b16 and run 10 psi all day on a good tune. Fast, and cheaper than the H22

thats what im gunna do with my car...but with a GSR w/ a b16 head.

yeah...H22 is heavy and has a big footprint, it'll take a lot of patience to get into there to work on it, you might have to pull it every time you wanna work on it...but its also cheaper than any B out there

RE: engine questions

These H22 questions are getting a lot more popular lately. Maybe Sac should put an adendum to his Swap Sticky as to what fits in what and how hard it is.

RE: engine questions

I agree. Everyone just needs to read WHY we don't recommend H22 swaps that often before they ask the question. And the reason they're cheaper than B-series VTECs is that they aren't balanced and tuned as well. Interior-wide, they have a longer stroke (not necessarily a good thing to run lots of boost on stock) and the cylinders are a little thinner than Bs.
