Engine Rebuild Part#5

Well, christmas came early this year, because my camera was jacked at NOPI, my dad got me a new one for "christmas". So, as much as i would like to show you pics of the vitaras sitting in the block, its to late, the head went on yesterday, but i do have pics from that point on and will be posting them tonight as i am still currently working, just taking a break. Have run into 2 problems: Im using ARP bolts and the 2 corner ones require a deep socket 12. BUT, the socket needs to be like the 12 point star, and not the hex, and i cant find a deep one like that. Problem #2. The intake of the turbo will not make it past the block on the transmission bolt hump closest to radiator, so i am having to notch out the intake a little bit, sucks but what are you going to do? Anyhow, will have pics up in couple hours, my mission today is to get the manifold bolted to head, thats all i want.

Ah, no, thats not a SSAC, its my new Garrett T3, and i finally got that bitch in today, however, now that its a internal WG, it pushed everything back, AKA-intake into block, and now my downpipe wont fit between turbo and AC brackets, i think its bye bye AC.

Side note, im sorry to say, this is the LAST turbo i will ever do. Its just.....God, i almost threw a wrech through my windshield, i hade to notch a $400 Garrett turbo just to get the bitch to go in. Thats it, its not worth it, i dont care!!!!! I love my car, and i love boost, its just....ERRRRRRR. I cant belive i have to take out my freaking AC, its not like i use it, its the principal. Next motor is Either fully built, all motor LS, or Vortech supercharged LS, no more turbos. Im sorry

Good progress today, got all the AC out, side note, as im venting the freon, I was reading my haynes on the AC section and a certain part caught my eye. "It is a federal offense to vent refrigerant into the atmosphere." Whooops.....

Meh, it's not that bad, just don't put your face over the hole where it shoots out. And don't inhale a ton of it. We just loosened the nut on mine, tied a string to it and pulled the string from about 10 feet away.

t34, no matter what route you take, you're always going to run into issues. Look at me, it's going on month three and I still can't even push my car more than 35% throttle. I was in your shoes with the "**** it, I'm done with this" mentality, and I hate feeling like that. But just keep pushing man, if it were easy, it wouldnt be rewarding
