engine ?'s

Doengines that are sold that are jdm work for cars left side drive cars that are here in the us? So if i were to buy a b16a for my 95 dx coupe would it work?

If you have a car that is automatic how do you make the car a manual using the transmission from that b16a engine?

Whats the difference between a cable transmission and a hydraulic transmission and what about a limited slip differential?

What all do I need and where can I find all the parts for this swap?

You don't have to answer all these questions just the ones you are presicely sure about or if you know something about it.

A cable transmission connects a metal cable from the clutch pedal to the clutch. The amount by which you lift the clutch is the amount by which you lower the pedal (more or less). For a hydraulic tranny, you compress a liquid which moves the clutch plate back. I think it tends to require less force on your part to disengage the clutch.

RE: engine ?'s

The engine itself can be used with either a left- or right-hand drive chassis. The problem, I believe, lies in the wiring harness. A JDM b16 would work, but from what I've heard, b16's are the most overrated swap imagineable. I'd say for the price, just go with a B18b (and you wouldn't have to worry about the vtec wiring, either) or h22.

Also, you'll need a manual pedal assembly (clutch, gas, brake pedals. You can just buy the clutch pedal and use your auto pedals, but the brake pedal will need to be cut down. It's just easier to get a manual set), manual throttle cable, speed sensor, slave/master cylinders, hydraulic lines, resevior, starter, shift linkage, clutch kit, flywheel, manual transmission mounts, manual ecu, shifter, shift boot, and shift knob. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

*edit: if you get a full engine swap package, it'll come with some of the things you'll need for the auto/manual swap too.

with an h22 he will have to worry about wiring up the vtec solenoid, id say either an ls witch is the b18b or go for the b18c (gsr). b16 iss an overated motor and i wouldnt buy it unless your getting a good price. you can also go with an h22 but it is not as easy to install other than a b-series motor
