Engine swap
 

I am swapping out my D17A1 for a D17A2, and was wondering, if I am correct in assuming that the only think I will have to change is my ECU. The tranny should fit right up, right?

yeh all d-series tranny line up with d-series motors. umm on the ecu part i think you should change just incase but thats about it. good luck

thanks man. do you know anywhere online that sells them, I keep looking for it, but I cannot find it, can you help me out?

iight heres all the info you need YES YOU MUST CHANGE THE ECU becasue the model you have is not v-tec. the ex is v-tec and if your want v-tec you either need a v-tec controller which would help you to tune your v-tec and your motor by that lil thing or just the ecu to save your troubles. check ebay to see if they have the ecu but remeber to READ CAREFULLY!! make sure you get the right ecu and the right seller. well if you have anymore question just ask man other then that hope everything goes good with the swap.

will the D17A1 to A2 really make that much of a difference? i mean i know it'll b 20 or somethin horsepower...but you can do better right?

There's other swaps you can do, but they're a lot more involved and a lot more cash. (A Hemi swap would be nice!)

LOL by hemi i hope your still refering to honda motors. bro if you got some cash save up for a k20 swap heard those motors are greeeaat.
