How exactly did you reset the mechanical timing? Why did you reset the mechanical timing?

What year/engine Civic?

Does the CEL remain ON?

Did you recently do any work on the engine/car that led to the no-start condition?

1) Check whether you installed the plug wires in the wrong firing order on the distributor cap.

2) Pull the CEL code as detailed at the link in my signature.

3) Check compression of the cylinders.

The cylinders are ordered 4-3-2-1 going from the distributor to the timing belt.

Are you absolutely sure that the timing belt is installed so that the cam and crank are perfectly synchronized at TDC1?

Have you checked for bright spark (not weak orange spark) at all four plugs?
