Default F23 Accord Engine

My friend has a 2000 Accord with an F23 and an automatic. He wants to know a little more about it in the sence of modifying it and what all he can do to make it faster, he already has a 4-2-1 header and cold air intake. He also said he wants to make it manual but if its too much work, he'd rather buy a different car. Anybody know anything about these engines?

Like what all does he want to know and what power is he looking for.

In stock form they like boost, dont like to rev any higher than they allready do. Not much aftermarket support as far as a cam, valve springs....head work in general but the bottom end has one thing going for it and that is that H22 parts are interchangable. Intake manifolds, exhaust/turbo manifolds, etc, etc can all be used from a H.

F series currently hold the world record for the fastest nonvtec honda and up untill the K series had the record for the worlds fastest n/a honda period.

Bisimoto Engineering is heavily involved in the Sport Compact race scene as well. The Team 400m CRX serves as a test bed for a majority of our products. The car 4882 currently has multiple world records in the pro stock/all motor class using a naturally aspirated SOHC Honda engine. Accoladesin past seasons include a 2003 IDRC All Motor Class Championship.

The 2004 race season held vast potential for our team. With a best elapsed time of10.02and a best mph of 138.48 at sanctioned events, powerplantupgrades and testing occurred, yielding significant performance improvements of 9.81 second elapsed times.

In 2005, "Stitch" arrived with a goalof rewriting the Unibody record books, utilizing improved science, and rigorous analysis. This 2006 Honda Insightchassis provides the basis for exciting performance (current e.t. record of 9.5 and 145.28mph), and new products. It is our goal to bring such technology to you: the enthusiast.
That was and is with a F22 which is the same engine with slightly less bore

Wow, I didn't know all that! I was actually going to post a question about an F22 swap a while back but I thought it would be a stupid question... I guess not?

Haha... well he told me he doesn't really have money and I know he's not really that mechanically inclined. So it looks like he's going to buy a different car. The funny part is that he wants to buy a truck. lol
