So I do not want to buy a bolt on kit for my 7g? Would it be better to build it up like OpTiCaL said? Because 3.5k is almost as much as the turbo's Chimera told me to look at.
I was also thinking about selling the civic I have now and getting a little bit older one with a B18C1 engine because i was reading you can get 270+ hp out of them witha turbo or is that just bs?

You can get 300 outta our engines with a turbo. but if you can get an older one w/ a B18 for a good price do it.

Whoa 300??? I was reading up on the tubo's and they said only a 75-100hp gain( though they were bolt on), and our engines are 127hp stock with about 90 to the wheels if im not mistaken. What kind of turbo would give me 300hp? or is that with new shafts, cams, exaust etc? and can I put a non bolt on kit into the engine I haven now or is there some reason i cannot?

(still very new to the engine and car modding process sorry for the seemingly stupid questions)

Yeah for 300 will require new valvetrain, internals, a good fuel managment or EMS and some time on a dyno. If you do put a turbo on, not getting an exhaust that can handle the extra airflow would be plain dumb. but on stock internals with some fuel managment and a lil time on a dyno you can hit 175-200 at the wheels. As for not getting a ready-made kit, the only reason I'd be hesitant saying go build on yourself with this engine is the returnless fuel system.

Sorry but definitive is a load of crap. They did a good job but boost is not the only option.

Aight, well just let us know when you just about triple the HP output of our engine without boost. An example would be another way to back your erroneous statement.

You should be able to hit 200whp goin NA.
Add a 125 shot of N2O and theres triple the output .

Thanks for answering my
erroneous statement

no one ever said you CANT build a fast D17. However a D16 can be made just as fast for much cheaper. If u gave me a D16z6 in a hatch I could make it run low low 13s maybe even high 12s for about 1600 bucks.
