getting the most out of a b16

i have an 99si with a stock b16...only has a whale dick on it now...im getting a dc header for it...what else can i do to get the most power out of it...i know about basic bolts ons...any type of head swaps or anything would give me more power...any advice?...i plan on getting a turbo kit for it to...want to get all the power i can with out a turbo 1st tho...and any advice about turbo kits? or would it be better to just turbo it...im not sure how much the stock engine can run on safely

prolly getting a jackson racing supercharger for it now...what else could help get more power with that?

I would suggest a turbo kit instead of a supercharger, but it really all depends on your preference.

Regardless, I hope you know that you can't just throw a turbo/supercharger on and hope it works. I am praying that you did some research before just saying "I'm going to supercharge it.". You need to look into things like bigger injectors/fuel pump, and a tune, just to mention a few.

If you want more power from bolt ons, maybe look into upgraded camshafts? If you go that route, be sure to upgrade your valve springs and retainers, too.

Really depends on your power goals but a turbo kit hands down would be the way to get the most out of that b16. I currently am working on my turbo kit its a somewhat long process depending on your budget and how much work you are going to do yourself but I am extremely impressed with my results from turbocharging the b16, if you are seriously planning on going this route just save your money and research about it.

Really, you need to decide if you want to turbo for sure or not. If your going to start building the head at all, those mods need to be geared toward what works with a turbo setup best, or going all motor. Certain cams will work out better with a turbo than others. And theres no need to waste money on bolt ons like a header or intake if your going to boost later. Just think about the direction your going to go before you spend money.
