Got a leak need some help
So i noticed a couple spots on the garage floor when I pulled my car out this morning, so i had my friend take a look. Turns out it coming from where the t-fitting (from my oil presure gauge) enters my block. My friend tried to fix itjust by tightening it b/c itwas loose. Didn't work. He then takes the fitting out andlooks at it and itlooks like the threads are starting to strip. I guess the so called "mechanic" who installed it putit in at an angle and f*****up the threads. Any ideas how to fix this without pulling the engine torethreadthe hole?
so do i have to pull the motor to install the tap and die kit?
What about form-a-gasket do u guys thinks it will stop the leak if i put it around where the fitting enters the block?

a tap and die kit is not something you install. A tap is a tool that threads or re-threads a hole. A die toll threads or re-threads a bolt.
My suggestion would be to re-tap the hole and re-die the fitting. Get some teflon tape and before reinstalling the fitting, wrap a bunch of teflon tape around the fitting. If you aren't familiar with teflon tape ask how to wrap a fitting properly.
