GReddy Radiator Cap

I'm gonna order a new GReddy Radiator Cap and new radiator hoses. I'm mostly just getting them because they look nice, but some websties claim that the Radiator Cap cools your engine better. Will there be any difference with these new parts?

I've been wondering about their supposed "performance" other than making the engine bay look nice.. I read something that it allows the pressure to build up higher which increases the boiling point, thus making it cooler??? I don't know...

yeah thats waht i read too, something about allowing more pressure to build up, but i'm not really sure. Anybody else?

That's a load of crap. If you want better cooling add some redline water wetter or switch over to waterless.

The only reason you would need a higher psi cap is if you're racing and have high temps and don't want to loose coolant. You also need to make sure your hoses/clamps and radiator can handle the added pressure. I've spent a lot of time around circle track racecars (I own two and have raced for a few years now) and that's always what I've found.

He's right, there is no performance difference. It mainly dresses up the engine bay more and can handle higher pressure, but it doesnt do anything more than just hold it all in.
