gsr swap cost?

I know this question has prolly been asked a few times but How much did you guys pay for your gsr swaps (parts and labor)?? I have a 00 ex and I'm on a tight budget. I've heard 3k but everywhere I look charges more.

3k is a pretty decent deal for the swap itself, but installs gonna be anywhere from 500-1000. and you really should put a new timing belt, waterpump, and a new clutch in there while its out of the car. trust me, i learned the hard way.[:@]

If you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't do a GSR swap. There's always gonna be things that come up throughout the swap that costs extra.

Yeah.

The swap itself is $2700 from Sunrise JDM (unless you can buy wholesale). Then you gotta leave about $500 for parts and emergency expenses, and figure at least another $500 for the install...

No, it's not, but they have good prices. I'm in the Seattle area, so I get my s**t from Foreign Engines, Inc. in Lynnwood, Washington. Since we have a shop and we buy a ton of s**t, they give us some pretty good wholesale discounts.
