Default GSR swap help

From a 1997 ex civic, stock, I've been doing alot of reading and talking and iv decided I want a GSR swap.
I've read that it will be around 4000. My car is an automatic so I'll need to get the stuff for that change too. In a few months I will prolly be able to pay it all out. Any suggestions? Any figures anyone can throw at me like hp and everything? Just for reassurment.

Thanks

Is this swap a good decision, or is there something else in about the same price range that I should look into?
I've been looking around websites and have been getting mixed answers

you can either build your stock motor and turbo it or swap a gsr engine in it, i personally would go for the turbo on the D series.
