H22a
how hard will it be to swap an H22a into a 99 ex coupe? i also heard that JDM motors have a harder time passing emissions, would this be a problem?

RE: H22a
you will need the motor, tranny, engine harness, ecu, axles, motor mounts, and miscilanious stuff like timing belt water pump and anything else you find along the way. not to many people do the h22a in a civic.

RE: H22a
damm. its late...
jdm engines do have a harder time passing emissions testing in some states such as cali. |
RE: H22a
btw, if you do go H22a. youre gonna need some of these: http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/EKH1
there are cheaper versions out there, but these are the most blingy. btw, the civic owners that do swap in h22s have BADASS cars because the JDM H22as have roughly 200 hp and crazy torque bands. mix that with a lightweight civic and you got grins for days.... |
RE: H22a
what about a b18 gsr motor?
|
RE: H22a
same deal, but less hp and less torque.
you'll also pay a premium for the b18c1 but its less heavier and easier to swap. ask pete. he got one. |
RE: H22a
an H would be sweet to swap, but you dont wanna boost that beast. Also, the H has 220 hp or 200 and I heard it puts down sh** numbers stock, like 140whp or something. I dunno anyone have a dyno to prove me wrong?

RE: H22a
Nah, a little more than that dude. more like 180-190
