alright, i've been researching and learning tons about swaps and other things related with that process. the thing is, the b series swap is just too expensive without enough power or torque (like the b16 or something). I've always had a fascination with the H22 from the prelude, but the swap required a pretty extensive amount of work to swap due to the tranny setup and modifications required to swap it out. but the h22 has plenty of power and torque to back it up, so i was searching and found a way to mate an H22 with a B series 5spd tranny, that way you'll have all of that monster torque with the simplicity of the b series tranny swap and hydro capabilities rather than the H cable tranny. That way you'll still have your 5 speed handy to carry the power throughout. I think the kit comes with an adaptor tranny plate, flywheel, slave cylinder spacer, extended drivers mount, templates for minor grinding of block as well as an oem extended shifter fork and misc. stuff. I'm really interested in this, but i've only seen it with mount kits for the eg, not the ek, i'm sure they have (or will have) them made but i just don't know if it's applicable. if i just swap in the H22 block with the included extended drivers side mount, will i just use the same technique installing the b series transmission (si rear mount and passenger mount) with the B tranny brackets? idk if you understand this, but i was just wondering, because this is potentially a "K-killer" especially since the prices of H motors are nearly nothing for a decent long block without the tranny, then i'll have to grab a B tranny somewhere and get this adaptor kit, do you think it's a decent idea?

your thoughts?

Well I used to want to do an H2B build (i think iv wanted to do EVERY build) and I read up lots on the adapter plate, its good. Talked to a few guys on honda-tech that did the H2B and they said so far it was very solid

Bisimoto makes these kits. Contacthis businessand see how/if it will mount up to your vehicle.

There is a H2D kit as well, which cuts cost quite a bit vs H2B.

alright, the one i showed was the h2b by evolution, their kit is like close to a 1000 on their website w/o the mounts, but i can get an h for cheap, but a b tranny will be a bugger to get, so i might look into that h2d kit, i could use my tranny, tranny mounts, as well my shift linkage maybe. i was just concerned about how well the d tranny can handle the power with it's gear ratios and build.

Bisimoto runs an all motor F series 9 seconds in the quater with a H/F2D adapter, and stock D series transmission. So I think it will hold up for what you want. H/F2D = ~$750. H/F2B = ~$1250. D-series transmissions are also much cheaper than B series'.

so i can get a f20b or a h22a, and use the d-series tranny i got now?? with just an engine swap would it still be a b**** to put in a 97 ex? any cutting or anything? i would need axels and mounts for the new one... anything else?
