ok.. my friend has a 1997 civic... he had like a tune up or something and restocked his engine... i have a 2005 ex civic..i know mines is vtec but tahts is... which engine is betteR?.. faster?... and give me some reasons Y so i can make him feel dumb if mines is faster.. cuz hes been braggin .. something bout his block is bigger in the engine... HELP!

ur engine is bigger, has more horsepower and more top end torque, but his car is better for tuning (well not better...just more opertunities...and cheaper opertunities)

 

his is a 1.6 and yours is a 1.7

 

exactly. and im pretty sure urs is a higher compression so you get more torque AND HP

 

first of all they both have 127 hp, you have 7 more ft lbs of torque and 114 compared to 107, unfortunetly your car weighs almost 150 lbs more... its up to driver if both are manuals, if his was just tuned he will take you if your his equal driver.
