Hello everyone , I'm New to this forum , I'd like to once again say hello to everyone.
I'm doing a head gasket on 93 civic 1.5 l I bought the manual And I'll do the head gasket tomorrow, any advice , Specially on the timing belt That interfirence **** is driving me crazy. thakns guys in advance

With the timing belt, after you turn it to TDC, mark it (use paint or nail polish) on the belt and the crank and cam gear. Make the installation much easier and belt will be back at the original place. If you change the timing belt, then make the mark on the new belt my tracing the mark from the original belt. Hope this help.

Also, don't forget to remove the ALL the residue of the old gasket from the block and head. Shops can "shave" the block and head for about 500 bux, but not always necessary. While you're at it, you should probably buy a whole gasket kit and replace the valve cover gasket, manifold gasket, etc. Another thing: the book is a little ambiguous when it explains how to set the timing. Just follow the plastic arrow on the inside of the lower timing belt cover. If that doesn't make any sense to you I'm sure you can find an explaination on here by searching. GL.
