Head swap on d15b7
do to money this next coming year (going to school again for trades, living own my own with apartment rent) I have a feeling a engine swap wont be the smartest idea for me, but I would like a bit more pep for daily driving. I have a d15b7 (canadian cx), what type of head could I swap onto this motor? and will I need any vtec controler or anything? What are the parts and head I will need to increase hp? If I did this I just want to add some other engine internals and such to increase hp, I just want more pep, but a swap is not looking good as of now, my savings are a bit on the low side[:@] Thanks for any help.

RE: Head swap on d15b7
you need the head from a d16z6 or a y8, you'll also need the ecu for that engine and tranny that you have. There's a DIY on this site on how to do the Mini-Me swap

RE: Head swap on d15b7
Heres a full walkthrough on how to do a mini-me and everything you will need. What trade are you learning? Wait, Fort Mac, let me guess welding or pipefitting? I had 3 roomates from there in highschool and I think they are all welders or pipefitters now.
