Head Work Suggestions PLEASE
Alright guys i've been around cars all my life but never imports. I have been restoring Muscle Cars for the last 10 years or so with my dad. I purchased a 95 Civic with the 1.6 Vtech in it. I have done a few mods to it. Just your basics like Headers, Exhaust, Intake and a few other things. Well i am getting ready for the following upgrades and wanted a little insight since i am not that familar with the import scene. I know what makes horsepower in the cars im used to so im going to stick with that concept i just want some insight from you guys at exactly what im looking at and if you have any suggestions.
P & P heads Titanium Retainers Titanium Valve springs OBX Stage 2 Cam OBX High Flow Intake Manifold 62mm Throttle Body Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit High Flow Cat Converter Thanks for any input you guys have. BTW i have a '69 Yenko Camaro that's sitten at 880hp at the wheels. So like i said i have been around performance cars so if you guys have any more suggestions or maybe some input on what i have suggested it is appreciated. Tyler |

RE: Head Work Suggestions PLEASE
Welcome. Yeah you have your head straight. Now work on what you have planned for the block and maybe keep a supercharger or turbo in consideration of all your mods.
So now back to the yenko, do you have the 427 still in there? What mods did you do? Got pictures? |
RE: Head Work Suggestions PLEASE
when you do the port and polish remeber that on imports bigger is not always better. There is certain ways to get max HP out of a port and polish from an import. Unfortunatly I never learned, but Ive heard stories where guys get theres done at musclu car shops and they dont gaoin much if any cause poerting and polishing a v8 head is completly differetn then an import head. Just look into it a lil bit more.
