HELP,. valve covour . CLEANING
 

i took my valve covor off it is sitting infront of me, i want to know , i am going to paint it, should i clean the inside of it or just the top, were it says honda, and what kind of engine do i have in my car, 92 civic si hatchback vtec, 2 door. etc. stock enging in it

the motor should be a d16z6, but just clean the top of the valve cover and everywere you are going to paint really well. wipe down with some alcahol and let dri, then spray some either high temp paint of high temp primer then paint. make sure you have high temp paint though or else when the engine gets warm it will flake right off

thanx man that helps alot, i already re installed it , it looks soo sweet, i jsut primed it for now though, but man what a difference,. i am probly jsut going to paint it white, or i am going to paint it blue or black, jsut to let everyone know who has problems with there honds after soo many cliks, i have 330,000 km's on my beast and she runs like a dream, the person who sold me her took soo much care of it though. i have hookups for wheel lug nuts if any body wants to buy any, 50 percent of normal price
