Real quick, engine re-assembly commences tommorow(sat) I have a 3 layer z6 and want to take it down to 2. Whats the best procedure for removing the rivets without damage?

Are you serious, no one knows how to do this, or has done it themselves?

i wouldn't do it......Do it if you want, but consider the fact that the middle layer has staggered coolant orifices to help evenly cool the head and block.

Y8 is 2 layer right? so there would be no middle. Either way fine, can i use the middle and one of the metal layers? How do i remove the rivets

Why are you wanting to do this, the most you will be able to change compression is around .3 points and that is hardly worth altering you head gasket to acheive.
