RE: Honda vs V.tech

first off, wow

secondly, its VTEC not "V.TECH" or "V.THECH"

thirdly if your driving a 5 speed coupe your probably running a d17 which has VTEC already

and fourthly i guess, honda engines HAVE vtec, some dont, but some do...

for your car performance wise, id go only with intake/header/exhaust, d17's arent the best for doing anything extreme, because you will have a problem affording what you need to control fuel management..

do research please, and lots of it

ya best thing to do is toward the top of the page the SEARCH feature that will help out lots fyi you either have a d17a1 or a2 the a2 has vtec

thanks didder for the info! and sorry about the miss spell of VTEC!

im thinking of adding the intake and exhaust 1st,but the only thing I heard that when you add anything to the hood you may experience some other problems like (electrical..ext). what can i do to avoid any problem?

RE: Honda vs V.tech

thx for clearing htat up nolan, i am a noob in the d17 market...

you wil be fine, just have one of your friends who knows how to work on cars install the stuff for you and pay him a little. electrical doesnt become a problem ever really, as long as you put everything back the way it was, and took your time..

intake header exhaust are pretty easy to install, pretty basic mods, and they will help your motor breathe a little better, and sound more aggressive. about all your going to get out of a d17 without spending a ton of money anyway

good luck
