Horsepower question - 2000 Civic?
I have a 2000 Civic DX, factory rated at 115 horsepower. I've added a stainless cat-back exhaust and cold air intake, and was wondering how much additional horsepower I've gained??

i have the same(1.6 V-TEC) exept in EX how many horses do i have stock and
do you really feel the difference when you putt exhaust and air filter? :D |
RE: Horsepower question - 2000 Civic?
your ex has 127. and the dx came from the factory with 106, not 115. but yeah, 6-10hp sounds about right. and yeah, you can feel it when you put them in. do it all at once so you can really feel the difference.

10 hp might be pushing it... i'd guess about 5 or 6. It will feel better though and help out your torque.

yeah, a header (not a cheapo one!) will put you over 10 though. (total added)

I could definitely feel the difference when I added exhaust and intake. Big time difference. I would highly recommend doing it if you can. I think for starters, exhaust and intake is the quickest way to get the bang for your buck, and it sounds pretty cool too!
