Default How do i install vtec?

I have a 2000 civic DX coupe.
i believe it has a d16.
How do i go about installing vtec?

also.. When my gas gets a little low( 1/6th tank or so ) it kind of struggles to start for a second.. it always starts.. it just turns a couple more times than it normally does.. could this lead to any severe problems down the road?

Like hamorhead said, look into the mini-me swap. It's basically putting a d16z6 or d16y8 head on a non-vtec block and doing a tiny bit of wiring.

And Hondas don't like starting with low fuel... my old civic didn't like to start when I had less than 1/4 tank of gas; it's perfectly normal.

*edit: mini-me writeup (***Honda-Tech Warning!***)
