How do i know?
 
ok i have a 99 EX for what i know it supose to have a vtec engine but it doesnt say vtec any where i thik it should say on the valve cover right?

Its a vtec. i think Honda quit puting Vtec on the valve cover in 95

just go by the stamp on the motor itself, yours will be a d16y8, which is vtec

alot of times it says on the valve cover, but not always. Do you notice a change in perfroamnce/power/sound when you hit about 5600rpm?

thanks for the help and it is d16y8 and when i hit abaut 5800rpm i do fell like the car gets lighther and the ****ing gets smother

he said it fells like that, and when a car has more power, it feels like its lighter, maybe a little smoother

yea thats what i try to say i also wanted to know if the cold air intake works because i got the car it had the headers air intake and the catback exause and i never drove it stok can any one tell me the diferens
